I'm keen to engage younger people in the democratic and political process.
Politics affects everything from the price of a pint, to whether you can get a good education, training, skills and job. It determines whether you can buy a house and how good your local services are for you and your family. I got involved because I wanted to take an active part in that process and change things for the better, instead of sitting on the sidelines and complaining about 'the system'.
If you are between 18 and 35, I'd like to hear from you. I'm holding monthly events in local pubs around Fareham where we can meet informally, have a drink or a bite to eat and talk about any issues that you're interested in. It will be great chance to meet other local young people and make new friends too.
The first event is a Pub Quiz, on Friday 11th September 2015, 7pm for a 7.30pm start, upstairs at The Queen's Head Pub, High Street, Titchfield, PO14 4AQ. £1 person to join, and don't worry if you don't have a team as we will team you up on arrival.
