Fareham Community Hospital Taskforce

The NHS is a vital service, and one we all care about deeply.  My mother worked as a nurse for 45 years, so it is particularly close to my heart.  Doctors and nurses do an amazing job and want what is best for their patients, and we in return rely on being able to access dedicated healthcare where and when we need it.

Apprenticeships, innovation and business

I am working hard with local employers, colleges and schools to ensure that our young people have access to high-quality technical and vocational training. I have supported increased funding for apprenticeships, building on the excellent potential at Fareham College and CEMAST, and am pleased that the government is continuing to back this excellent form of training.

Infrastructure, transport and planning

Improving local infrastructure and transport, along with local planning issues across Fareham, are important priorities for me. We need to keep investing in proper travel connections and the services to support people in their work and leisure time.M27

Supporting our Armed Forces

With our rich heritage of the Royal Navy locally, I am a keen supporter of our Armed Forces.  In an increasingly uncertain and dangerous world, the job they do is more vital than ever in keeping us all safe.

Education in Fareham

I liaise closely with all schools in Fareham to see for myself the hard work of pupils and express my gratitude for the dedication of their teachers. It is always good to hear from them their views on how our education system can be improved.

Family Justice

I am passionate about ensuring the family justice system works for everyone. The Conservatives have made great strides in bringing about real change to our family justice system, such as with the Children and Families Act 2014, making it fairer for all.
