A volunteer from Portchester who is promoting acts of kindness and tackling loneliness in the Solent community during the pandemic has today received Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s daily Points of Light award.
The Chancellor Rishi Sunak and PM Boris Johnson continue to deliver on their pledge to back jobs across the UK and in Fareham. New up to date figures for Fareham illustrate that thousands of jobs have been protected by the Government initiatives put in place during the COVID-19 outbreak.
On Friday the 15th of May the MP for Fareham Suella Braverman headed a meeting which included several south coast MPs and representatives of Natural England. Discussed at the meeting were a number of strategies to break the nitrates deadlock around the Solent region.
On Friday Suella met with the Fareham Community Hospital Taskforce to discuss plans on improving health services in the Fareham area. This is following the announcement from the chancellor Rishi Sunak that the NHS will get whatever it needs in the face of the Coronavirus outbreak.
Suella has recently met with the Portchester traders to put into place plans on how she and the organisation could work together to improve the precinct. The meeting was convened as a response to concerns from the traders and Suella about reduced footfall in the precinct.
