National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, and was accompanied by Rev Bruce Dean from St John’s Church.

Gosport War Memorial Hospital

I was sitting on the front bench today in the House of Commons during the Health Secretary’s statement on the Gosport War Memorial Hospital report.

Fareham farmers

I met with local members of the National Farmers Union (NFU).

At the meeting, I discussed farming in Fareham and learnt about the important work local farmers do to contribute towards our food supply and their contribution to the area’s economy.

Thank a Teacher day

Ahead of this Thank a Teacher day, Friday 22nd June, I am paying tribute to teachers across Fareham, whose hard work means that more children are gaining the skills and knowledge they need to get on in life.

Protecting our oceans

I have welcomed moves by the Government that will see the protected area of Britain’s coastline expanded, in face of growing environmental concerns about pollution in our oceans.

National Volunteering Week

I joined local volunteers for National Volunteering Week, as part of a day to raise awareness for volunteering and to encourage others to take part in local schemes.

I was shown around Wetwheels, a charity based in Gunwharf Quays, to learn more about the work it does to support local disabled people.

T Levels

Fareham College will become a provider for the Government’s new flagship qualification, T Levels.

On Sunday, the Government announced the providers that have been successful and will deliver the new T Levels from September 2020. Included on the list was Fareham College.
